One month old...

I know I said this at three weeks, but how can the first month of his little life have already passed by?!?!? Even though I'm sure it won't, I hope time slows down a bit over the next few months and years. I meant to post this on Tuesday, his official "one month old" date, but somehow I got distracted. :)

Do you think he has changed in the last four weeks?

It is sad to see how fast they grow and change, but I am glad I am documenting it so that I never forget what he looked like at each stage.

The night of the 20th, Hudson and I went to Corvallis and met up with a bunch of my girlfriends. We stayed at the restaurant for almost 5 hours and had such a good time just talking away! I'm sure people thought we were crazy and/or a part of some support group as four out of the five of us had a baby with them! Since I am almost always the photographer (the not-too-skilled-one at that!) I was thankful that someone snapped this picture of my little man and his mama...

Just a little walk...

Garrett and I go on walks with Hudson almost daily, but since he was born we have gone on two major walking outings. The first one was about a 2 1/2 hour walk near McMinnville when he was just eight days old...

*Thank you Sandy for the awesome sling!

Yesterday we took him to Camp Adair and went on about a two hour walk. Hudson had a great time and just sat contently in the stroller. :)

Finally loving bath time...

In the early days of your little life, it seemed like you thought the bath was pure torture. You would kick and scream and cry and it seemed like it couldn't end fast enough. However, over the past week or so you have decided that the bath is a pretty fun and relaxing thing. It is so fun just to watch you enjoy the warm water (and much more pleasant than the constant screaming!).

Goooooooo Beavers!!! ---oops, I mean ducks. :(

On Saturday we took Hudson to cheer on his second favorite football team (the Beavers had a bye week so we settled for the Duck game :)). He did such a good job...just passed the time sleeping with his little ear plugs in. Everyone ooohed and aaahed over his little outfit. Even if I am a Beaver fan, I have to say that he made one pretty cute duck. :)

By the fourth quarter, this little duck was ready to head home and eat!

How can you be THREE WEEKS OLD?!?!?!

Waaaahhhhh! I hate how fast the time is going by! You have been pretty miserable lately with your little reflux issue. Thankfully today we visited Dr. McQuillan and he fixed you right  up with some medicine that we hope will take away your pain and make it easier for you to sleep. Poor little guy. This last week I have noticed the biggest change in how you look. You seem to look older all of a sudden...maybe it is the hair...maybe it is the EXTRA POUND you put on in the last week and a half...I don't know for sure, but you are definitely growing.

You have proven to be both a binky boy and a thumb sucker all at the same time. We are thankful for the binky in the car and thankful for the thumb when we can't find the binky!

Sleeping with your dad just might be at the very top of the list of your favorite things to do. :)

2 weeks old!

At your 2 week appointment you weighed in at a whopping 8lbs. 6oz.!--two ounces more than your birth weight! This week has been full of snuggling time with your dad and lots of time with your mama too. We started noticing that you are having a harder time sleeping and you are spitting up a lot after you eat and seem uncomfortable. We'll be keeping an eye on that to make sure it is nothing too serious. :) Oh how we love you!

I love how little you look in the picture above. I put these jammies on you last night and realized we no longer need to roll the sleeves up like we had to in the picture! You are growing already :(

The first week home :)

Well we are home! Our first night was a little chaotic. I think the combination of your circumcision and being overly tired from all our hospital visitors led to an unrestful night.

(Don't be deceived by the fact that he is sleeping in all these pictures!) :)

(Most of these pictures are from my phone...which explains the high quality! :))

After a restless night, the next morning you turned a corner and became quite a content little happy baby.

During this first week, we have just enjoyed soaking up how little and sweet you are. You sleep well during the night, giving your mom and dad a nice four hour chunk of sleep! What a sweet boy! The past week has been full of lots of sitting and staring at the beautiful little miracle you are. Thank you God for our little man!
